The New England Patriots, entering the 2025 season with new head coach Mike Vrabel, are banking on Vrabel to be the culture setter on a team that badly lacked identity last year. Vrabel will also be responsible for bringing postseason football back to Foxborough, which the Pats have lacked for the better part since the departure of Tom Brady. The team also brought back a familiar face in the offensive coordinator, Josh McDaniels, who had quite a success with both Tom Brady and Mac Jones.

While no one is predicting New England to come out on top in the AFC East in 2025, they might be the best bet to double their wins from last season in the whole of the NFL due to a coaching change and a boatload of money spent in free agency.

What is the New England Patriots' depth chart for 2025-26?

New England’s owner, Robert Kraft, opened his wallet in free agency and gave out contracts worth $360 million, as per Spotrac. Pats invested a huge chunk of money on the defensive side of the ball by giving out major contracts to Harold Landy III, Robert Spillane, Carlton Davis III, and defensive tackle Milton Williams during FA. However. Patriots did not stop there and also spent a boatload of cash on offense to help out their second-year quarterback, Drake Maye, by bringing in wide receiver Stefon Diggs and offensive linemen Garrett Bradbury (center) and Morgan Moses (tackle).

While defensive players mostly dominated free agency, the 2025 draft class of the Pats was the polar opposite of that. New England’s GM Eliot Wolf went all offense on the first two days of the draft by selecting offensive tackle Will Campbell (Rd 1), running back Treveyon Henderson (Rd 2), wide receiver Kyle Williams, and center Jared Wilson, both in round 3. In a single offseason, the Patriots completely revamped their offensive and defensive line.
