Ryan Timothy Tannehill III also known as Ryan Tannehill is an American football quarterback who presently plays for the Tennessee Titans of the National Football League. Before joining the Titans squad, Tannehill played for the Miami Dolphins.

The Miami Dolphins selected Tannehill in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He was the eighth overall pick. He signed his first four-year contract worth $12.68 million with the Dolphins. Later in 2019, he was traded to the Tennessee Titans. By 2023, Tannehill has been a part of 12 NFL seasons, out of which he missed an entire 2017 season due to serious injuries.

Ryan Tannehill was born in Lubbock, Texas and his parents Cheryl and Tim Tannehill raised him in nearby Big Spring. He went to the Big Spring High School. At the school, he started playing football, and basketball as well as participated in Track and Field Teams. Tannehill earned second-team District 4-4A honors for his remarkable performance in both his junior and senior years.

Consequently, Tannehill played college football at Texas A&M from 2007-2011. Tannehill was named the Dolphins’ starting quarterback for his initial seven seasons. He was named backup quarterback after being traded to the Titans in 2019. He served as a backup initially, but midway through the season, he was named Titans starting quarterback and earned the title of NFL Comeback Player of the Year.
