He reached the fourth round of the 2024 Miami Open, making history as the only male player under 25 to win 100 or more games on clay and hard courts. In 2022, Ruud won the Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award and was nominated as the Most Improved Player of the Year in 2021.
