Jaylen Wells is an American professional basketball player. As of December 2024, he plays small forward/shooting guard for the Memphis Grizzlies in the 2024-25 NBA season. Memphis Grizzlies selected Wells as the 39th overall pick in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft. Wells played his debut match against the Utah Jazz on October 23, 2024, where he scored six points, in a game Memphis won 126-124, according to ESPN stats. Wells was named the Western Conference Rookie of the Month on December 3, 2024. As of December 6, 2024, he played a total of 23 games in the NBA, scoring 277 points, 80 rebounds, and 41 assists as per Basketball Reference.

Wells graduated from Folsom High School in Folsom, California, where he was named the 2021 SFL League MVP and 2021 SacBee All-Metro Player of the Year, as per his college profile. He initially attended Sonoma State University and joined the Sonoma State Seawolves team, where he played from 2021 to 2023. He averaged 17.9 points, 2.2 assists, and 7.4 rebounds per game over 55 games. He later transferred to Washington State University and played for the Washington State Cougars men's basketball team in the 2023–24 season. Wells averaged 12.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.2 blocks per game over 34 games for the Cougars.
