Maxime Raynaud is a college basketball forward for the Stanford Cardinal and is in his senior year, as of June 2025. Before Stanford, he attended Espoirs Nanterre and averaged 12.8 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. He participated in the Adidas Next Generation Tournament, which was held in Valencia, Spain, with Espoirs Nanterre. Raynaud was a part of the French team and attended the prestigious Lycee Henri IV. For his international stint, he bagged a gold medal and helped France score at the 2023 FIBA U-20 European Championships. He also bagged a silver medal at the FIBA U16 European Championships in 2019.

As a freshman, Raynaud played 29 games in the 2021-22 season and started five games. He averaged 4.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game. The following year, he played in 33 games and started in 23 of them. He averaged 8.8 points and a team-leading 6.1 rebounds per game and shot 54 per cent from the field as a sophomore. While he was in his junior year, Raynaud was the Pac-12 Most Improved Player of the Year and the Stanford Athletic Board Conference Athlete of the Year. He was honored with the NABC Honors Court and won the ACC Scholar-Athlete of the Year and AP All-America honorable mention in 2025. He played 35 games by giving a start in all games. The French basketball player averaged 20.2 points, 10.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game in the 2024-25 season (via ESPN).
