Brandon Jordan Miller is an American college basketball player born on November 22, 2002, in Antioch, Tennesse. He plays for the Alabama Crimson Tide men’s basketball team of the Southeastern Conference and was rated as a five-star recruit of the 2022 class.

Brandon attended Cane Ridge High School in his hometown, Antioch. As a junior, he averaged 23.3 points, eight rebounds, 2.3 steals and 2.6 blocks. Brandon was regarded as the Tennessee Gatorade Player of the Year in his junior and senior high school years.

Moreover, Brandon was honoured with the Tennessee Mr. Basketball Award. In his senior year, he averaged 24.1 points and 8.5 rebounds. Brandon participated in the Jordan Brand Classic and the McDonald’s All-American Game during high school.

College Career

In November 2021, Brandon decided to play college basketball for the Alabama Crimson Tide men’s basketball team over Tennessee and Kansas State. During his first year at Alabama, Brandon was selected as the Naismith College Player of the Year. He was also rewarded with the Julius Erving Small Forward of the Year Award. On November 21, 2022, he received the Southeastern Conference Player of the Week Award.

On February 22, 2023, Brandon became the first freshman player in Alabama history to score 41 points in a match against South Carolina. In three games he averaged 20.3 points and 11 rebounds in three games. With these points he earned the title of the Most Valuable Player of the 2023 SEC men’s basketball tournament.

At the end of the regular season, Brandon received multiple honours, including the SEC Player of the Year, first-team All-Conference and the SEC Rookie of the Year. He was rewarded with the USBWA National Freshmen of the Year and the NABC Freshmen of the Year award.

Brandon is expected to participate in the 2023 NCAA Division I men’s basketball tournament and would fall to San Diego State in the third round. After the season, Brandon announced that he would leave college and enter the 2023 NBA draft.
