Jon Jones is a successful American professional mixed martial artist who competes in the heavyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Reigning as the heavyweight champion of the prized professional mixed martial arts company, Jones dominated the light heavyweight division for the major part of his career in the company. During his days in the light heavyweight division, Jones created multiple records, including becoming the youngest champion in the company's history by beating Mauricio "Shogun" Rua at 23 years and defending the light heavyweight title 15 times.

Jon Jones' distinct accolades went up a notch when he returned from a three-year hiatus on March 4, 2023, and went up to the heavyweight division to challenge Ciryl Gane for the vacant UFC heavyweight championship. He produced a dominant performance by taking Gane down and then clutching his neck in a guillotine choke, forcing him to tap. With the victory, Jones added another feather in his cap by becoming one of the nine fighters to win belts in two weight classes.
