Eugene Asante is a 24-year-old (As of April 2025) American college football linebacker from Auburn University. He previously played for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. On December 21, 2024, Asante declared for the NFL Draft on Instagram (@casante). Asante hails from Alexandria, Virginia. He attended Westfield High School in Chantilly, Virginia. He lettered for the North Carolina Tar Heels football team from 2019 to 2021. Appearing in 36 games for the Tar Heels, recording 62 tackles and two for loss over three seasons. He transferred to Auburn in 2022 and played there until the end of the 2024 season. At Auburn, he accumulated 134 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, and 7.5 sacks in 29 games. Over his career, he recorded 196 total tackles, 16 tackles for loss, and 7.5 sacks. He was the 2023 DC Touchdown Club Player of the Week, CFN, and Phil Steele All-SEC third team selection.
