The 23-year-old linebacker declared for the 2024 NFL draft after his greatest season last year. The senior from Notre Dame had an excellent combine performance, clocking a 4.64 40-yard sprint and measuring 34 inches in arm length.

He was also invited to the Reese Senior Bowl. He was also selected for the 2023 Butkus Award Watch List, demonstrating recognition for his linebacker skills. The Hawaiian native was a three-star recruit out of high school. He enrolled at the University of Notre Dame after being strongly recruited. As a freshman, Marist appeared in ten games, recording 22 tackles and four pressures. He had to sit out the whole 2021 season owing to an ankle injury he sustained during practice.

When targeted, he had an outstanding QB rating of 26.5, with one interception. 2023 was his statistically best year.
