Michael Porter Jr. was reportedly a victim of theft during his stay in an Indianapolis hotel room on Tuesday night.
As reported by Mike Singer of the Denver Post, an Indianapolis Police spokeswoman outlined what the missing items were. The stolen items were "money, a gold bracelet, two Louis Vuitton bags and a bible."
Porter Jr. was not present during the time of the theft.
The Denver Nuggets were in town for a game against the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday. Michael Porter Jr. and the Nuggets sealed a 121-119 victory over the Pacers.
Despite having to deal with a theft the night before the away game, Porter Jr. finished with 17 points, six rebounds, two assists and one block. It looks like he came out with something to prove.
Singer mentioned that the Nuggets failed to make a statement regarding Tuesday’s theft.
Michael Porter Jr. and his Denver squad started their four-game road trip Monday against the San Antonio Spurs, winning 115-109.
The Nuggets now have two more games left on the road before Michael Porter Jr. can touch home base and recollect himself and his belongings, and potentially deal with the police.
Porter Jr. has averaged 17.8 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists across the first 10 games of the season. He has shot 48.9%, including 48.6% from beyond the arc. He seems to be a deadeye who can’t be stopped this season.
Denver is set to play the Boston Celtics on Friday night, and then the Chicago Bulls on Sunday night. The squad will then have a two-day break before their first game back at home.
Their next home matchup is against the New York Knicks on Wednesday.

Michael Porter Jr. incident is not first NBA-related theft in Indianapolis
Paul George was once the leading scorer for the Indiana Pacers. He was also once a victim of theft during his time in the city.
During a 107-97 loss against the Atlanta Hawks in 2014, George’s house was broken into. One of the items taken from his home was his platinum NBA All-Star ring.
The ring was valued at $15,000. It was reported that roughly $16,000 in goods were also taken from George’s home.
