Nepal Cricket closed camp for ACC Emerging Teams Cup started

Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has called up 22 players for the closed camp for the ACC Emerging Teams Cup to be held in Singapore from 17 to 25 August.

All 14 members of Nepal’s ICC Division III winning squad – Paras Khadka, Subash Khakurel, Sharad Veswarkar, Gyanendra Malla,Shakti Gauchan, Amrit Bhattarai, Prithu Baskota, Sanjam Regmi, Basanta Regmi, Binod Bhandari, Pradeep Airee, Chandra Sawad,Anil Mandal and Rahul Viswakarma are called for the closed camp while Mahesh Chhetri and Binod Das are also included in the 22 player’s list along with 3 fast bowlers who played for Nepal in the ACC U19 Cup – Avinash Karn, Yagyaman Kumal, and Ramnaresh Giri.

Like wise Jitendra Mukhiya, Sagar Pun and Naresh Budayer also made it to the 22.

The camp will start 10th of July. After the selection, the team will go to Sri Lanka for the preparation of ACC Emerging Nations Cup. Nepal will face Afghanistan in its first match on 17th August 2013 in the ACC Emerging Teams Cup.
