2014 F1 provisional calendar out - Mexico, Austria and Russia confirmed, New Jersey out

The 2014 F1 provisional calendar has been released and it consists of 21 races with the addition of Mexico, Austria, Russia in the calendar. New Jersey Grand Prix is not included in the list, as hinted earlier by F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone. However, the calendar is still a provisional one and subject to approval of the FIA.

The 2014 season will kick off in Australia on 16th March, with the Malaysian Grand Prix a week later on 23 March. Korea has been moved to the fourth race on the calendar along with other Asia-Pacific races. Bahrain, which was expected to host the first Grand Prix of the season, will host the fifth Grand Prix of the season instead – on 13 April.

The Austrian Grand Prix, which makes a return on the F1 calendar, will be held on June 22, two weeks before the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. Russia, meanwhile, will host its debut race on 19 October, while Mexico is scheduled for November 19. The F1 season will end on November 30 in Brazil.
