Barcelona are planning to offer fans a chance to be buried under the club’s ground with room for up 30,000 urns.

The club plans on allowing fans to be buried irrespective of whether the Nou Camp is upgraded or whether the Spanish giants move to a larger venue.

The club’s director of facilities, Josep Ramon Vidal-Abarca has admitted that the fans wishes has led to the club to consider the idea of a mausoleum.

He said, “This is in response to the historical demand from members who want their remains laid to rest at the stadium.”

Reports suggest that initially there will be room for 500 urns, with prices starting at around £2,500 for either 50 or 99 years.
