Gareth Bale ready and fit for 'El Clasico'

Bale scored one of the best goals of his career against Barcelona

Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale has said that he is fit and raring to go for the El Clasico, ESPNFC reports. The Welshman recently returned to full fitness and even started in Real’s 3-2 loss against Sevilla before the international break.

The 26-year old expressed his views in a video which was posted on Real Madrid's official twitter page.

"I've been out with injuries for maybe six weeks now, so I haven't played as much as I would have liked -- but I feel strong and fit going into this game. I am ready for the battle,” Bale said.

He termed the El Clasico as a special match played between the two biggest teams of Spain and he hopes that the Los Blancos score more goals than their counterparts.

"The Clasico is special because we're the two biggest clubs in Spain. The rivalry is immense. We are always battling for titles and trophies, and that adds to the pressure on the pitch which makes the game so exciting and so big.

"I'm sure you'll see a very attacking game from both teams and a lot of goals. It's always a difficult game, but hopefully we can score more goals than them," he said.

Real Madrid was on top of the La Liga table for a long time, but they suffered their first loss of the campaign against Sevilla and as a result of which, Barcelona moved above them. And the three points deficit can turn into six if the Madrid-based club fall to the Blaugrana on Saturday.

"I still think we have a few gears to go up. We can perform better and play better, and hopefully that leads us to winning the league. I want to keep trying hard and working hard for the team, and hopefully we will get those wins."

Bale made headlines when he scored a tremendous solo goal against Barcelona in the Copa Del Ray 2014 final when he outran Marc Bartra from the half line and slotted past Manuel Pinto to help his club win the match and the tournament.

When quizzed if it was the best goal he has ever scored, the winger said, “It’s obviously up there with one of my favorite goals, though I’ve scored quite a few nice goals but is definitely one which sticks to my memory.”
