Piers Morgan takes dig at Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag

British broadcaster Piers Morgan has taken a brutal dig at Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag following their 1-1 draw against Burnley on Saturday, April 27.

United, despite taking the lead through Antony's 79th-minute goal, could only manage a draw in the Premier League clash at Old Trafford. Zeki Amdouni equalized for the 19th-placed Clarets with an 87th-minute penalty.

The Red Devils have now won only one of their last five league matches, drawing three and losing another. They are sixth in the table with 54 points from 34 matches. Ten Hag's future is up in the air due to his team's inconsistent performances this season. The draw against Burnley further complicates the situation.

Morgan, a known Arsenal fan, however, urged the Red Devils to wait before making a decision on the Dutchman's future. He urged them to wait until Manchester United's Premier League clash against Arsenal at Old Trafford on May 12, writing on X:

"Please don't sack him before May 12."

In their last nine league matches, United have earned only 10 points out of the possible 27. They have won only two, have drawn four, and have lost three. Ten Hag's side return to action on May 6 to play Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Manchester United have contacted Thomas Tuchel to replace Erik ten Hag: Reports

According to journalist Santi Aouna, Manchester United have contacted Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel to replace Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford. Tuchel is set to step down as the Bayern manager at the end of the season.

Ten Hag, despite a promising first season, has failed to deliver this season. He still has to win a trophy this term, as United will play neighbors Manchester City in the FA Cup final on May 25.

Liverpool are set to appoint Arne Slot to replace outgoing Jurgen Klopp while Mauricio Pochettino's Chelsea future is uncertain. If the recent reports are to be believed, yet another 'Big Six' side, United could also be set for a managerial change.
