Twitter goes wild as Cristiano Ronaldo scores brace to help Real Madrid sink APOEL Nicosia

Cristiano Ronaldo returned to the starting lineup of Real Madrid and scored a spectacular brace to help his side start their title defence with a comfortable win. The Portuguese hitman opened the scoring for Zinedine Zidane's side before doubling it with a penalty, given, rather harshly, for a handball.

Club captain Sergio Ramos also netted his 70th goal for Real Madrid, as he found the back of the net with an awkward overhead kick.
