Mario Balotelli looks all set to return to the Premier League with Liverpool close to signing the AC Milan striker.
But over the course of the summer, especially during the World Cup, the Italy striker was linked to North London club Arsenal.
The Gunners were in need of a quality striker and it was no wonder that Balotelli’s name came up, especially after AC Milan failed to qualify for the Champions League this season.
But Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said during the World Cup that it was all just transfer speculation in the press and that one should not believe everything that is seen or heard in the media.
