The Royal Blue, Gold and Yellow are looking to have another strong season under the leadership of Amit Lochab and after being Runners-Up in the inaugural edition.

Hyderabad Skykings

The new look Skykings under new ownership also have a vastly improved FB page and have the most fans of any team with 27,950. The improvements look to have been helping as the team is 3-0 in friendlies last year.

They are one of the teams that are on the rise and are expected to do well this season after receiving new impetus from ownership.

Kolkata Vipers

The Vipers have also undergone a major change in team composition and the Kolkata team has 9,623 fans on its page.

This team had a combination of players from Hyderabad, Kolkata, Rajasthan and Sri Lanka last year and struggled a bit with team chemistry leading to losses in each of their matches.

They will be looking to turn the tide this year.

The Gladiators made a late surge in the group phase last year to make the final four and though they went on to lose to neighbours Pune, they remain a team to watch out for. They have 7,905 fans on their page.

The Mumbai team is another of the teams to have found an owner after having been bought by one of the most famous footballing families in the US – the Booty brothers. John and Abram Booty along with Thrive Sports Group have bought the team.

Pune Marathas

The champions of the inaugural season, the Marathas have a good fan following of 7,970. They had quite a few of the star players from the first season and will be keen to repeat their heroics again this season.

Every other team will have a marker out on the Pune team’s trophy and the defending champions will have to strive hard to try and replicate their success. They still possess one of the best squads amongst all teams and that should serve them in good stead.
