60th Shotgun Nationals: Shreyasi Singh wins Women’s Double Trap and Rashmee Rathore crowned Women’s Skeet Champion

Bihar’s Shreyasi Singh reclaimed her Women’s National Double Trap title with a facile victory over ONGC’s Shagun Chowdhary who won Silver and Army’s Seema Tomar who settled for the Bronze, on day two of competitions at the 60th National Shooting Championship Competition (NSCC) for Shotgun, being held in Jaipur.

Shreyasi shot a score of 98 to seal the title in an event where she had to contend with the Silver medal last year. She had also won the National Title in the same event back in 2012. In the Women’s Skeet, Andhra’s Rashmee Rathore beat Punjab’s Ganemat Sekhon 13-11 in the Finals to win Gold. Saniya Sheikh of UP won the Bronze.

Manisha Keer was the other top performer in the day, helping her Madhya Pradesh Team bag two Gold medals in the Women’s and Junior Women’s Double Trap event. She also won an individual Bronze in the Junior Women’s Double Trap.

Asees Chhina of Punjab also bagged two Gold medals winning the Junior Women’s National Skeet title before teaming up with Ganemat Sekhon and Simran Preet Kaur Johal to bag the Junior Women’s Team Skeet title. N. Nivetha of Tamil Nadu defeated Bhavna Chaudhary of Haryana 76-71 to clinch the Junior Women’s Double Trap crown.
