Shiva Keshavan, the most recognizable name and face in winter sports from India, will be in action on Day 1 of the 2014 Winter Olympics being held at Sochi, Russia.

Here is the schedule for Indian athletes in action today at the Winter Olympics:

Luge – Shiva Keshavan – Heat 1, Men’s singles run

The 32 year-old Keshavan, competing under the IOC flag rather than the Indian one, will be participating in his fifth Winter Games. Given the circumstances under which the Indian athletes have entered the Winter Olympics, it will be a great accomplishment if Keshavan can improve upon his best Olympic performance – a 25th place finish at Turin in 2006.
