Coming out of high school, Wesley was a highly rated four-star recruit and committed to the University of Notre Dame. In his lone year at the University of Notre Dame, he averaged 14.4 points, 2.4 assists and 3.7 rebounds per game and started in 28 of the 35 games he played for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. In his freshman year, he was named to the second-team All-ACC and the All-Rookie Team in 2022. Wesley declared for the 2022 NBA Draft and was drafted with the 25th overall pick in the first round by the San Antonio Spurs.
