Over the past few years, Danny Green has managed to make a special place for himself in the league. The 35-year-old is known for being an excellent defender on the perimeter, while also having the ability to get very hot from the 3-point line.

Green played college basketball at the University of South Carolina, where he won and played in more games than any Tar Heel before him. He won a total of 123 games, which also included winning the NCAA National Championship in his senior year.

In the 2009 NBA Draft, Danny Green was picked up by Cleveland Cavaliers with their 46th pick. However, it wasn’t until 2014 that he managed to put his hands on Larry O’Brien as the San Antonio Spurs defeated the Miami Heat. For Green, it was made even more special by the fact that in those finals, he had set a record for making the most 3’s in an NBA Finals series. He also became the 3rd ever player from UNC to win both the NBA Championship and the NCAA National Championship, the other two being Michael Jordan and James Worthy.

Danny Green then went on to win his 2nd ring with the Toronto Raptors in his lone season with the team. Just weeks after his success in Canada, Green decided to move to the Los Angeles Lakers, where he won his 3rd Championship ring with the 3rd different franchise, something only a handful of NBA players can boast about, including his former teammate LeBron James. Currently Danny Green plays for the Philadelphia 76ers.
