After four seasons with the Boston Celtics, versatile forward Grant Williams was traded to the Dallas Mavericks this offseason in a sign-and-trade agreement. Known for his ability to guard multiple positions, Williams was drafted 22nd overall by the Celtics in 2019.

Williams’ basketball journey began at Providence Day School in Charlotte, where he averaged 15.8 points, 10.1 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game in his senior season. He then committed to Tennessee for college in November 2015, where he was named SEC Player of the Year in consecutive seasons. He finished his collegiate career with averages of 15.7 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 0.9 steals, and 1.5 blocks per contest on 51.6% shooting from the field.

Alongside superstars Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, Williams will be looking to make a deep postseason run with the Mavs in 2024.
