
Jalen Williams is an American small forward/ power forward for the Oklahoma City Thunder in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as of May 2025. Nicknamed "J-Dub," Williams was born on April 14, 2001 and attended Perry High School in Gilbert, Arizona. In his junior high school season, Williams was named Chandler Unified School District Player of the Year. In his senior season, he was awarded the 2017–18 Region Offensive Player of the Year after averaging over 25 ppg.
Jalen Williams committed to the Santa Clara Broncos and played college basketball for them. He made his debut for them on November 5, 2019, recording 13 points, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals against UC Santa Cruz. He was named to the First-Team All-WCC in 2022. Williams reached 1,000 career points as a junior after averaging 12.6 points on 46.9% shooting for his career in his three-year collegiate career. He was also a two-time All-WCC. Williams was drafted by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2022 NBA draft with the 12th overall pick. After averaging 14.1 ppg in his rookie season, Williams was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team.
