James Harden is a basketball player who currently plays as a shooting guard in the NBA. He is a member of the Los Angeles Clippers franchise. He started his NBA career in 2009 when the Oklahoma City Thunder drafted him with the third overall pick. After a few years in OKC, he then spent a considerable amount of years playing for the Houston Rockets where they had a good team but couldn't make it to the NBA Finals.

Since then, Harden has been traded from the Brooklyn Nets to the Philadelphia 76ers. Recently, he was traded to the LA Clippers. After nearly 15 years in the league, Harden is still in search of his first NBA Championship. He has been teamed up with a couple of other stars on a couple of occasions but unfortunately for him none of those instances ended up with him winning a ring.

James attended Artesia High School in Lakewood, California. As a sophomore, he averaged 13.2 points. James guided his high school basketball team to participate in several state championships. They won the California State title in his junior and final year. Moreover, James was also selected to play in the McDonald’s All-American Game.

In addition to this, James also led the AAU team to the 2006 Las Vegas Adidas Super 64 championship. He scored 34 points in a win over a DC Assault team. On the same day, James recorded 33 points in a match against the Houston Hoops.

After completing his graduation, James Harden went to Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, United States. He started playing college basketball for the Arizona State Suns men’s basketball team. As a freshman, James guided his college team to fifth place in the Pac-10 Conference. He averaged 17.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game.

Following his freshman season, James continued to play at college. He was chosen first-team All-District by the NABC and the USBWA during his sophomore season. James played many games against several college teams. He scored a career-high 40 points in a game against UTEP. He finished his sophomore season averaging 20.1 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.

James Harden was named to the 2009 Pacific Life Pacific-10 Conference men’s basketball tournament. While playing in this tournament, he was defeated by USC. After this season came to an end, James was awarded the Pacific-10 Conference’s Player of the Year award. Following the season, he entered the 2009 NBA draft.
