Fred VanVleet is a professional basketball guard who plays for the Houston Rockets in the 2025 NBA season. VanVleet went undrafted in the 2016 NBA Draft, but later he signed with the Toronto Raptors for NBA G League. In the same season, he signed a multi-year deal with the Toronot Raptors and played for the team for seven seasons. In 2019, VanVleet was a part of the Toronto Raptors that went on to clinch the NBA Championship. He was selected to the NBA All-Star team in the 2021-22 season. In July 2023, VanVleet signed with the Houston Rockets. The 2024-25 season is his second season with the team and has led the team to their first playoff in five seasons.

Before joining the NBA, VanVleet played collegiate basketball with the Wichita State Shockers from 2012-2016. He had many clutch plays, and the most famous one would be the shot that was made late in the game to knock Ohio State out of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. He played four seasons for the Wichita State and averaged 10.2 points, 3.3 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game. (via Wichita State's official website)
