About NFL Week 9 Schedule 2024-25

As the season reaches the halfway point, teams like the Detroit Lions and Kansas City Chiefs have separated themselves from the rest of the pack in NFC and AFC respectively. Week 8 also saw some resilience from teams like the Cleveland Browns and New England Patriots, even though it might be too little too late for them. While the Cincinnati Bengals saw themselves drop to two games below .500, their week 8 opponent in Philadelphia Eagles rose to 5-3 on the back of a 3-game winning streak. Don’t look now but Denver Broncos after starting the season 0-2, are sitting at 5-3 through the midway with a chance to make the postseason for the first time since 2015. There are quite a few interesting matchups this week, none more so than the one between the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions. This week 9 NFL schedule has the San Francisco 49ers and Pittsburgh Steelers on a ‘BYE’.

Game on Sunday, November 3

Dallas Cowboys at Atlanta Falcons

When the Cowboys take on the Falcons at Mercedez Benz Arena in the week 9 matchup, there might be more than a win at stake here for them. In the suddenly competitive NFC East, the Cowboys are reeling at the 3rd spot, with a 3-4 record, which has them 3 games below divisional leader in Washington Commanders and 2 games below arch-rivals Philadelphia Eagles. A defeat here would mean a lost season for Dallas in an unexpectedly loaded conference, which can see four teams make it to the postseason from one division (NFC North). On the flip side, Atlanta has strengthened its grip on the division by winning two divisional games of the season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks

The week 9 NFL schedule will pit two divisional foes against each other. The most interesting division in the NFL i.e. NFC West, has three teams with the same record, with only one game separating the first and last-placed teams. Only one game separates both these squads with the Rams having one game in hand. Neither of them has shown any consistency throughout the season with LA’s name also swirling in the trade market as the potential sellers.

Detroit Lions at Green Bay Packers

One of the three games in the late Sunday afternoon slot on the NFL week 9 schedule is between two bitter rivals the Detroit Lions and the Green Bay Packers. While the Lions have established themselves as the class of NFC, the Packers are also not far behind, coming into this matchup on the back of a 4-game winning streak. However, Jordan Love’s status for the game is up in the air, after going down due to a groin injury against the Jacksonville Jaguars in week 8.

Game on Monday, November 4

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Kansas City Chiefs

The NFL's week 9 schedule will see the Buccaneers visit Arrowhead Stadium on Monday Night to take on the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs might be the last undefeated team in the league on paper, but their play has been far from their record. The Chiefs have yet to score 30 or more points in either of their seven outings this season. Even though the Bucs have lost three of their last four games, they have still put up an average of 34.5 points per game. It will be interesting to watch whether the high-powered offense of Tampa can get through the stingy defense of Kansas City or not.
