About NFL Week 4 Schedule 2024-25
Week 3 of the NFL saw a boatload of winless teams getting on the board by registering their first win of the season. While some high-flying teams from the first two weeks like the New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Houston Texans came crashing back down to earth, teams like the Minnesota Vikings, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Seattle Seahawks kept their undefeated season alive.
The NFL week 4 schedule has an array of divisional games on its slate along with a couple of matchups between top contenders to get a leg up in the standings from each conference. Some of the most exciting games on NFL week 4 schedule are as follows:
Game on Thursday, September 26
Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants
Week 4 gets underway on TNF with the Dallas Cowboys heading over to play the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. This matchup which has seen the Giants losing six straight to their bitter rivals since the start of the 2021 season, has suddenly become very important for Dallas if they want to remain in contention for the top seed in the NFC. The good thing for them is that the other NFC contender in San Francisco 49ers also lost their week 3 matchup, but the Philadelphia Eagles' and Washington Commanders’ victories have the Cowboys tied with New York for last place in their division.
Games on Sunday, September 29
Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers
One of the important divisional battles in week 4 comes from the NFC North between the Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers. Had someone predicted before the season began that the Vikings with Sam Darnold under center would be 3-0 to start the season while the Packers would be undefeated with Malik Willis as their primary signal-caller, everyone would have laughed off at that thought, and rightfully so. But Sam Darnold’s renaissance under Kevin O’Connell’s tutelage alongside Brian Flores’ stingy defense has made the Vikings one of the most feared teams in the NFL going into week 4. On the other side is the equally impressive job done by Matt LaFleur with former 3rd round pick Malik Willis, who has Green Bay Packers undefeated since he took over for injured Jordan Love.
Philadelphia Eagles at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The NFL schedule week 4 brings us repeat of last year’s wild card round matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Both teams are 2-1 going into this game and neither have shown consistent performances through all 3 weeks. While Tampa looked the better team coming into week 3, the Denver Broncos with a rookie QB steamrolling them have put an asterisk over their performance from first two weeks. Now, some of it may be due to them getting decimated in the secondary since week 1, but Baker Mayfield-led offense also looked out of sync against Denver. On the flip side, the Eagles' defense brought the Saints offense back to earth by only giving up 12 points to the team, which scored more than 90 in first two weeks. Even though the offense was nothing to rave about, Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley's side of the ball has always found a way to come out on top when the situation calls for it in the crunch time.
Buffalo Bills at Baltimore Ravens
The NFL week 4 schedule will see the Sunday slate conclude with an absolute banger of a game on SNF between the Buffalo Bills and the Baltimore Ravens. The top contenders from the AFC will battle for the 1st seed in the conference as evidenced by how successful Lamar Jackson and especially Josh Allen are when they play on their respective home turfs in the playoffs. Both teams had an opposite start to the season as Baltimore lost both its opening games and is 1-2 while Buffalo has started the season undefeated (3-0) on the back of scintillating performances from Josh Allen and James Cook. However, a thrilling win in Jerry’s World got the Ravens back on track with Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry totaling 4 TDs among them.
Game on Monday, September 30
The NFL week 4 schedule has two Monday Night Football games with the Tennessee Titans taking on the Miami Dolphins in the first encounter while the second one features the Seattle Seahawks and the Detroit Lions.
Seattle Seahawks at Detroit Lions
In the second Monday Night Football game in week 4, the Seahawks make the trip to Detroit, where they face off against the Lions. This is the 4th straight year both these teams face each other even though they reside in different divisions. All of their past 3 matchups have gone in the favor of Seattle, with the last one going into overtime. If recent history is anything to go by, this game will have a lot of fireworks considering the 161 combined points put up by those two teams between them in their last 2 faceoffs.
