Tyreek Hill has been nicknamed the Cheetah of the NFL. The way he can run the ball with his explosive first step and quickness to change direction is fun to watch. He almost went undrafted coming into the 2016 NFL draft and faced multiple criminal charges off the field like domestic assault and battery by strangulation counts. If not for his antics, Hill’s draft stock might have been very high but he ultimately was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs as the 165th pick in the fifth round of the 2016 draft.

Hill has been multi-talented his entire life because he can play football but track and field was what he initially started with. Hill was named an All-American in track and field, and in the Golden South Classic event, he almost beat the 200-meter high school record that was set. It was already clear that his speed would be a huge advantage for any team that drafts him.

After he was drafted, Hill made the Pro Bowl and the All-Pro team in his very first season in the NFL. He recorded 6 receiving touchdowns and 3 rushing touchdowns for his first season while running for 860 yards in total. Hill has made the Pro Bowl every single year in his career and has had a historic run so far. This season Hill is already up to 1641 receiving yards and has recorded 12 receiving touchdowns.

Surprisingly, the Kansas City Chiefs who are currently struggling with inconsistent receivers gave up on Hill. The Mahomes to Hill connection was beautiful to watch while it lasted and the pair even won a Super Bowl together. The trade was extremely disappointing and now Hill currently plays for the Miami Dolphins. His play has made him an MVP candidate this season and has made the Dolphins one of the biggest threats in the NFL. The Dolphins are 11-4 currently and Hill is the biggest reason why.

Hills is one of the fastest receivers to ever play in the NFL and he clocked in his 40-yard dash at 4.29 seconds at his pro day. His record time was faster than any other player in the 2016 combine. While Paris Campbell is the fastest player in the NFL currently, Hill is right there with him if not better than him.

Hill’s incredible speed comes from his track and field background as he was running way before he stepped into the football field. Hill has competed in many track events across the country and even beyond. Recently Hill ran at the USATF 60-meter masters indoor championship and quite literally turned on the jets to blow past every competition to win the race.
