Manchester United‘s push for more commercial deals remains on course after the club inked a deal with Federal Tyres, it was announced on their official site.

The deal follows last week’s agreement with Indian firm Apollo – who are the clubs official tyre partner in the UK and India.

An identical agreement has been reached with Taiwan firm, Federal Corporation. Federal will become the official tyre partner in Taiwan and Russia – home to the club’s airline sponsors Aerfoflot.

Details of the three-year deal were declared at the Interauto Show in Moscow. Based in Taiwan, Federal was founded in 1954 and has grown to generate an annual turnover of over $315 million.

Specializing in ultra-high octane, 4×4/SUV and motorsport vehicle products, Federal has the accommodation to produce over 28,000 tyres a day from its factories in Taiwan and China.

United’s Group MD, Richard Arnold, praised the deal.

He said: “Federal demonstrates passion, innovation and quality, making it an attractive partner for Manchester United.

It is a company that prides itself on customer satisfaction and striving to be best in its field.

These ambitions give us the confidence that our fans will benefit from this new and exciting partnership.

The club has almost 18 million followers in Russia and with a third of Taiwanese football fans following United, we are able to provide Federal with a sizeable audience to engage with.”
