Villas-Boas admits that Bale departure is imminent

Comfirmed: Bale on his way to Real Madrid

Confirmed: Bale on his way to Real Madrid

For the first time, Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas has confessed that Gareth Bale’s long awaited move to Real Madrid will go through before the transfer window closes.

Villas-Boas has also revealed that transfer would be for world record fee, but maintained that he cannot fix any time frame for the same.

“It could happen very, very soon,” said Villas-Boas, according to The Guardian. “It’s a dream move for him. This [transfer] can happen in a different way. Tottenham will accept most likely the biggest transfer in world football.”

The Portuguese was clearly frustrated with this saga and has openly said he will consider fining Bale after he did not show up for training in the last two days.

“He is involved in a big transfer move to Real Madrid and in the end if it happens, we wish him all the best, but the fact that he hasn’t turned up is not the correct behaviour,” added Villas-Boas. “That is the position they chose to take and it’s up to the club to decide if it’s a fine-able offence.”
