"Adam Lallana is a major cog in the whole engine of Liverpool right now, the real driving force," Wright told The Sun.

"He's stepped up; he's creating, and he's scoring. He seems to be a lot more confident, and he's scoring goals. Liverpool fans I speak to are delighted with the way he's playing.”

Klopp’s high press strategy has reaped rewards for the club as they currently sit at the top of the Premier League standings, a point off Chelsea in second.

Wright has also sung praise for the Liverpool squad and the manager for their terrific start singling out the Englishman Lallana as the key element to what the club is trying to achieve this season and end their 27-year wait for a Premier League crown.

The Liverpool manager uses a 4-3-3 formation, where Lallana has fit in perfectly, notching up three goals so far and creating a few assists for the team.

The Englishman claims he is enjoying life under the German manager who has revitalised the club in his short spell at Anfield, with Liverpool supporters feeling more hopeful than ever before, “Whatever he has done different to me, I think he has done to everyone. It isn’t just myself. As a team we are performing to a high level,” said the former Southampton player.

Lallana continued and said, “I am enjoying working with him, I feel I have really good relationship with him and that he trusts me.”
