Deccan Chargers v Kolkata Knight Riders - IPL T20

CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA – APRIL 19: Shah Rukh Khan the owner of Kolkata looks on during the IPL T20 match between Deccan Chargers and Kolkata Knight Riders on April 19, 2009 in Cape Town, South Africa.

After achieving success in last year’s DLF IPL Cricket tournament with Kolkata Knight Riders, Bollywood badshah Shahrukh Khan plans to make a mark in Indian Football also. The rumour spread earlier this year after Dempo won last season’s I-League title, when King Khan revealed his intentions to buy a share of Dempo Sports Club. It now seems that that rumour is going to be confirmed next month.

It has been reported that Shahrukh will strike a deal with Dempo mid October. At first, it was decided that Shahrukh would buy a 50 percent share of the Club, but that percentage has now gone down to 37. The remaining 63 percent will be in the hand of Shrinivas V. Dempo. Shrinivas is currently out of the country due to his business deals and King Khan is also busy with his shooting schedule, which is why the deal between the Dempo owner and King Khan has been postponed.

Dempo are also looking to make Team India’s cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni the brand ambassador of the club.
