Spurs' Roberto Soldado traveled in a budget airline on way to London

If reports in Metro are to be believed, Tottenham brought their new signing Roberto Soldado to the club in London on a Ryanair flight, a British low-cost airline. The Spaniard had cost chairman Daniel Levy £26m.

With that signing he also became Tottenham’s most expensive buy ever. Mostly, all big name footballers travel in first class or even a business class, but here was Spur’s most valuable asset turning up in a budget airline to the amusement of everyone.

The 28-year-old arrived in London for a medical before signing a deal at White Hart Lane. Surely, Soldado will be hoping for a better treatment when Spurs participate in Europa League later this month.

Meanwhile former Spur’s striker Mido joked that he got a better treatment from Levy on Twitter:

<blockquote class=”twitter-tweet”><p>Soldado flying to london on Ryanair. .it seems that levy was nice to me after all!! <a href=”https://twitter.com/search?q=%23coys&amp;src=hash”>#coys</a></p>&mdash; Mido (@midoahm) <a href=”https://twitter.com/midoahm/statuses/363034928222453760″>August 1, 2013</a></blockquote><script async src=”//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js” charset=”utf-8″></script>
