UEFA Champions League finalists Borussia Dortmund has received an incredible 502,567 online ticket requests for the match against Bundesliga rivals FC Bayern Munich on Saturday, May 25 at the Wembley Stadium in London.This was disclosed by BVB through a press release after the end of their online ticket request process on Sunday night, May 5 at 23.59 CET, which had started just after the club beat Real Madrid 4-3 on aggregate on Tuesday evening to reached the final.Borussia Dortmund has been allocated just over 24,000 tickets like their opponents Bayern Munich by European football governing body UEFA for the first-ever all German UEFA Champions League final.Especially in Germany, there is massive interest in the match with Bayern Munich also receiving over 250,000 ticket requests and interestingly many fans have not even applied because they thought that they stand no chance to be amongst the lucky one’s.The Borussia Dortmund management is impressed and happy by the huge demand for the final tickets, which to them shows the growing interest in the club BVB which has grown their official fan-base from about 8,000 to over a 100,000 in about a decade.
