UEFA looks into racially offensive music incident at England game

In an incident, that caused quite a stir, a song with racially offensive lyrics was played over the speakers of the stadium where the match between England and Norway took place.

The music was followed, ironically, by an anti-racism message from Europe’s governing body.

The UEFA are enquiring into the racism related issue that happened at the Ha Moshava Stadium in Petah Tikva, Israel.

“There was a misunderstanding regarding instructions to the local DJ about acceptable lyrics inside the stadium,” said a UEFA statement. The UEFA has reassured the public and the authorities that thee will review the process accordingly.

England was eliminated out of the tournament following their 3-1 defeat by Norway on Saturday.

Thomas Ince and Danny Rose, who are just fresh off a suspension placed on them following “a number” of racist incidents during the play-off win in Serbia, returned to the English team for the games.
