Video: Hoffenheim edge Moenchengladbach 2-1

Hoffenheim moved up to seventh in the German Bundesliga with a 2-1 win over Borussia Moenchengladbach on Sunday (15th September). Hoffenheim were without their Brazilian midfielder Roberto Firmino for the visit of Borussia Moenchengladbach. However that didn’t effect the home side as Hoffenheim took the lead on the stroke of half time when Anthony Modeste headed in. It was the Frenchman’s fourth Bundesliga goal of the season. Kevin Volland, the Germany Under 21 international, also scored his fourth of the season, Modeste provided the assist. Moenchengladbach substitute Branimir Hrgota won the pin ball battle and scored this impressive finish ten minutes after coming on to make it 2-1. Yet the away side couldn’t find another goal and Hoffenheim moved up to seventh with their win, while Moenchengladbach dropped to 11th.
