Video: 'We didn't get justice', says Malaga's Casado

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on Tuesday rejected an attempt by Spanish club Malaga to overturn a UEFA ban from next season’s Europa League over previously unpaid debts.

Vicente Casado, Malaga general manager:“Our first impression is indignation, injustice. We have fought, there’s a team beside it, the whole city, the whole team asking for justice and we didn’t get it. This is really the first sensation. We feel completely fired out from the competition, that’s the truth.”

“We did everything we had to do. The club has been working during the year to satisfy all the economical requirements. I think we could demonstrate we had a good job this year. So we don’t understand, we guess it’s a tax administration problem and we think we are right, so the conclusion we reach is that it is not a fair decision.”

“So unfair, it’s an unfairness comparing the rest of Spanish football teams that have their own debts, and I think Malaga was doing well with it’s job from the very first moment they were sanctioned, and that job has been shown everyday by the team to keep an appropriate financial condition.”
