We don't need any new signings: David Moyes

After suffering a 1-0 loss at the hands of Liverpool on Sunday, Manchester United manager David Moyes has claimed that his team does not need any new signings.

Moyes said that there were enough positives in the team’s performance despite the loss and also praised Liverpool for their resilience.

“We will try and do it [to make new signings], but from what I saw of the players, I’m more than happy with the players I’ve got,” he said.

“Liverpool was resolute and made it hard for us to score. We maybe didn’t quite create the best with the crossing. We got two or three opportunities in the second half and were just a little bit unfortunate that we didn’t take them,” the manager added.

The manager also commented on the status of Phil Jones who was replaced in the first half after landing awkwardly.

“He went over on his ankle when he fell and we will assess how bad it is,” Moyes said.

With the transfer window closing at 11 pm on Monday, Moyes is expected to make final bids for Leighton Baines and Marouane Fellaini.
