CM Punk will make his debut at UFC 203

On September 10th, The Ultimate Fighting Championship will be holding their UFC 203 Pay-Per-View at Cleveland’s Quicken Loans Arena. This is quite a historic moment for the UFC as they’re holding their PPV in Cleveland for the very first time in 22 years.

UFC 203 Fight Card:

1.) Stipe Miocic vs. Alister Overeem for the UFC Heavyweight Championship:-

The PPV will be headlined by Ohio’s own, Stipe Miocic who will be defending his UFC Heavyweight Championship against the former Strikeforce Heavyweight Champion and 2010 K-1 World Grand Prix winner, Alister Overeem.

2.) CM Punk vs. Mickey Gall:-

The event will also see former pro-wrestler, Phil “CM Punk” Brooks make his Octagon debut against Mickey Gall in a Welterweight bout. Punkwho signed a multi-year deal with UFC in 2014 was supposed to make his debut in 2015, but because of rampant injuries Punk’s debut got postponed to this event.

3.) Fabricio Werdum vs. Travis Browne:-

Former heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum was supposed to face Ben Rothwell at this event, but Rothwell on August 11th pulled out of the event because of an injury. Rothwell has been replaced by Travis Browne.

4.) Erik Koch vs. Drew Dober:-

Erik Koch and Drew Dober a match that was originally supposed to take place at UFC 195 was postponed to this event because Koch pulled out of the event because of an injury.

5.) Nik Lentz vs. Michael McBride:-

Mairbek Taisumov was supposed to face-off against Nik Lentz, but Taisumov was pulled out of the event because of Visa issues and was replaced by newcomer Michael McBride.

The match between Damir Hadzovic and Yusuke Kasuya, which was supposed to open the preliminary portion of the card, has been postponed because of Hadzovic’ issues with visa, and the match between Ray Borg and Ian McCall has also been scrapped because Borg suffered an illness. Jessica Andrade will be fighting Joanne Calderwood, and “The California Kid” Urijah Faber will be going off against “El Terror” Jimmie Rivera.
