To those unaware, Tom Brady and Aaron Hernandez played together for the New England Patriots. However, in 2015, the tight end was found guilty of first-degree murder. He was convicted and ultimately let go from the team.

In a tragic turn of events, Hernandez took his own life in a prison cell in 2017. Not only was he accused of two other murders, but was also connected to two different shootings.

Naturally, Brady — who was still with the Patriots — was asked about the situation pertaining to Hernandez. While the team might not be related to what happened, they were certainly in a fix due to their tight end being gone.

Tom Brady, however, was ready to move on and focus on the game. In an old interview, the legendary quarterback spoke of his priorities and how they were planning ahead:

"I have moved on. I’m focusing on the great teammates I have who are committed to helping us win games. The only thing I care about is winning. Nothing is going to ever get in the way of that goal."

He continued:

"I’m just excited to report to camp and see what we can accomplish as a team. The fate of our season will be determined by the players in our locker room — nothing else".

Tom Brady barely thought about Aaron Hernandez

In another interview, Tom Brady was asked about Hernandez once again. Considering the countless legal issues, Brady and Hernandez did not really keep in touch. The now-Tampa Bay Buccaneers star does not think too much about his former teammate.

“I don’t think about him very often,” Brady told WEEI.

Later, the seven-time Super Bowl-winner added that it was a very tragic time for everyone related to the situation. In the end, he was a teammate they played some great games with.

"For everybody involved, it’s just a horrible thing. I don’t know what to make of it. It’s just very, very, very sad.”

Is Netflix working on Aaron Hernandez documentary? Will Tom Brady feature in it?

Last month, rumors spoke of a possible Aaron Hernandez documentary. Jon Bernthal would probably play the role, and Netflix was discussing the project. However, they seemed to be just rumors.

To those unaware, there is already a documentary on the late tight end, Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez. While his immediate family refused to participate, there were others interviewed for the same.

The documentary is relatively short, covering the story in three episodes.
