The English Premier League may be a really popular league all over the world, but it is beaten hands down by the NFL as the most attended domestic sports league. A study conducted by Sportingintelligence showed that the NFL sits comfortably on top of the list with average attendance per game of 67,394 fans per regular season game in 2011 rising to 67,591 in 2012.
The German Bundesliga holds the silver with an amazing new seasonal record of 45,116 fans per game in 2011-12, up from 42,673 the season before.
The English Premiere League, popular as it may be, overtook the Australian’s Aussie Rules AFL league to win the third place on the list.
