It was announced during today’s episode of Monday Night Raw that 10-time World Champion – Edge, will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2012.

Edge was part of the WWE family for 13 years, from 1998 to 2011. He has held several championships, multiple times during his career. Also Known as the ‘Ultimate Opportunist’ and ‘The Rated-R Superstar’, Edge announced his sudden retirement from Pro-Wrestling, barely a week after his final match against Alberto Del Rio, at Wrestlemania 27. He cited his vertebrae injuries as the reason for his retirement.

Edge, whose real name is Adam Copeland, will be the highlight of the Class of 2012 Hall of Fame inductees. He joins the likes of Mexican legend Mil Mascaras and one of the legendary stables in the 1980′s – The Four Horsemen to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in a ceremony which will be held in the night before Wrestlemania, on March 31, 2012. This year, the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida will host the WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony. The rest of the Class of 2012 Hall of Famers are likely to be revealed in the coming weeks.

• Edge is one of the two wrestlers (Kurt Angle being the other) who have held every currently active male Championship in WWE.
