Alex Karaban, born on November 11, 2002, is an American college basketball player who plays for the UConn Huskies in the Big East Conference. Standing at 6 feet 5 inches, this power forward began his high school career at New Hampton School in New Hampton. During his junior year, Karaban was honored as the New Hampshire Gatorade Player of the Year, thanks to his impressive stats: averaging 25.8 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.9 blocks per game.

Karaban is a two-time NCAA champion, having won titles in 2023 and 2024 with the UConn Huskies men's basketball team. In addition to his championship victories, he was named to the Big East All-Freshman team in 2023. Additionally, in 2022, he was named to the Phil Knight Invitational All-Tournament Team.

During the 2023-24 season, Alex Karaban started all 39 games he played in. He averaged 13.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game, shooting 49.5% from the field, 37.9% from three-point range, and 88.5% from the free throw line.
