Anthony Marshon Davis Jr., nicknamed A.D, is an American professional basketball power forward and center who plays for the Dallas Mavericks of the NBA as of May 2025. Davis was drafted with the first overall pick in the first round by the New Orleans Hornets (now Pelicans) in the 2012 NBA Draft. He was named on the All-Rookie First Team in his first season. Also, during his tenure of seven years with the New Orleans Pelicans, he averaged around 23.7 points per game. He also led the team to two playoffs, where he averaged 30.5 points per game.

AD was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in 2019, where he teamed up with LeBron James. The superstar duo won the championship in 2020 for the Lakers. Davis is a 10-time All-Star, has four All-NBA First Team selections, and five All-Defensive Team selections. He was also named to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team in 2021. After playing five seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers, Davis was traded to the Dallas Mavericks in February 2025.
