
Anthony Marshon Davis Jr. is an American professional basketball center/power forward for the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA. Davis was drafted as the first overall pick in 2012 by the New Orleans Hornets (now the Pelicans). After playing seven seasons with the Pelicans, he was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers. Davis was a key member of the Lakers who, along with LeBron James, led the team to the NBA Championship in 2020. After five seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers, he was traded to the Mavericks in February 2025.
Davis has been named to the All-Star team ten times and has four All-NBA First Team selections and five All-Defensive selections. He was also named the MVP of the 2017 NBA All-Star Game. As of May 2025, Anthony Davis has led the NBA in blocks thrice in his career (2014, 2015 & 2018).
