The NBA has an abundance of highly-skilled talented players who are eager to make their name in one of organized basketball’s most popular leagues. Among these talents, we will be talking about Minnesota Timberwolves’ shooting guard Anthony Edwards.

Growing up in Atlanta Georgia, Anthony Edwards grew up being influenced by football and basketball. Having initially played football for most of his early years, it was after age 10 that he decided to pick basketball and prove his potential in the sport. In 2016, Edwards began playing basketball for the Therrell High School before shifting to Holy Spirit Preparatory High School where almost immediately, he became one of Holy Spirit Prep’s fastest emerging players.

Soon after graduating high school, Edwards was rated by multiple recruiting services as a consensus five-star recruit and a top player in the 2019 class.

In February, 2023, Edwards committed to playing college basketball for Georgia and played one season for the Division I Program, averaging 19.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.3 steals a game.
