The Brooklyn Nets are part of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference in the NBA. The team was founded in 1967 and has won two titles as a member of the American Basketball Association (ABA) — in 1974 and 1976. The Nets are owned by Joseph Tsai and play their home games at the Barclays Center.

Since the ABA-NBA merger in 1976, the Nets have reached two NBA Finals, in 2002 and 2003, when they were led by Jason Kidd. The Nets have qualified for the playoffs eight times since 2012 and lost in the conference semifinals in 2021.

The Brooklyn Nets picked three players in the 2023 NBA Draft — Noah Clowney and Dariq Whitehead in the first round, and Jalen Wilson in the second round of the draft.

Noah Clowney

Noah Clowney was picked 21st overall by the Brooklyn Nets. He was born on July 14, 2004 and played collegiate basketball at Alabama. Clowney is a power forward who was named Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week in December 2022 for the first two weeks for his performances in college. In one season in college, Clowney averaged 9.8 points and 7.9 rebounds per game.

Dariq Whitehead

Born On August 1, 2004, Whitehead is a small forward who played collegiate basketball for the Duke Blue Devils. He won Naismith Prep Player of the Year in his senior year and was named to the McDonald’s All American Boys Game. Whitehead was a five-star recruit and one of the best players of the 2022 class. He was picked 22nd overall in the first round of the 2023 NBA draft by the Brooklyn Nets.

Jalen Wilson

Jalen Wilson was born on November 4, 2000 and played as a small forward / power forward for the Kansas Jayhawks. Wilson was named to the Big 12 All-Freshman Team and Big 12 All-Newcomer Team in 2021, Third-Team All Big 12 and First-Team All Big 12 in 2022 and 2023 respectively. He became an NCAA champion in 2022, and also won the Julius Erving Award in 2023. Jalen Wilson was picked 51st overall in the second round by the Brooklyn Nets. In four seasons in college, Wilson averaged 14.2 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game.
