Cam Reddish is currently playing for the Los Angeles Lakers of the NBA. Coming out of high school he was a five-star recruit and was one of the best prospects. He played college basketball for Duke University and was drafted by the Atlanta Hawks as the 10th overall pick in the 2019 NBA draft. While he was a great basketball prospect, his talents have not translated in the NBA. Reddish has bounced around in the league from one team to another and is currently on his fourth team in just 5 seasons spent in the league.

Reddish has good size and can operate from the mid-range and the three-point line. Thanks to his height, he is also a versatile defender and has been averaging 1.0 steals in his career. He has all the tools, physically, to be a great player in the league, but is not always motivated to perform and can be passive. Reddish has always been a high-volume shooter but lacks consistency to go along with.

So far in his young career, Reddish has been averaging 10.1 points, 3.0 boards and 1.3 assists on 39.9 per cent from the field and 32.1 per cent from the three-point line. He is far from a finished product and has a lot of upsides to his game. Reddish can revitalize his career playing for the purple and gold as he clearly has the potential to turn his career around.

Cam Reddish’s Height

Reddish is 6 feet 8 inches tall (203 cm). Due to his height, he has the defensive versatility to guard multiple positions on the court. He can do a little bit of everything as the modern NBA requires wing players to be able to do whatever the coach wants them to. He can create separation from his defenders and generate his own shot.

He’s talented but requires the ball to be in his hands way too much to be effective. This season, playing for the Lakers, Reddish needs to learn how to play off-the-ball more and be an efficient shooter from the floor. We have yet to see him cutting to the basket, setting solid screens, or playing winning basketball.

Cam Reddish’s Wingspan

Reddish is a 6 feet 8 inch small forward with a 7’1 wingspan. He definitely has the length to be one of the best wing defenders in the NBA but has not done that so far in his career. The idea of what Reddish should be like is far from what he actually is. He is averaging a career-low in points, field goal percentage, and three-point percentage this season. The Lakers have started out very slow and have not looked like the title contenders everyone thought they were.

Reddish, on the other hand, is battling for minutes with Max Christie and with Anthony Davis out of the line-up with another injury, Reddish needs to perform better when he is on the floor.
