Cole Anthony is a professional basketball player in the NBA who plays the position of point guard for the Orlando Magic. He first gained recognition as a standout high school player, joining renowned basketball powerhouse Oak Hill Academy in Virginia for his senior year in 2018-2019.

After high school, Anthony played one season of college basketball at the University of North Carolina. He made an immediate impact, leading the Tar Heels in scoring with an average of 18.5 points per game along with 5.7 rebounds and 4.0 assists. Despite UNC's struggles as a team, Anthony's strong individual play earned him consensus All-American honors as well as ACC Freshman of the Year.

Anthony declared for the 2020 NBA draft after his freshman season and was selected 15th overall by the Orlando Magic. In his rookie season, Anthony started in 34 games and averaged 12.9 points, 4.7 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game. His role and production increased in his second season where he started in all 65 games, averaging 16.3 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.7 assists.

Going into the 2022-23 season, Anthony looks poised to take another leap and establish himself as Orlando's primary offensive weapon. Still in his fourth NBA season, his quick development and versatility as a dynamic scorer and willing passer make him an exciting building block for the Magic's future. Anthony signed a three-year $39 million contract extension with Orlando in October 2023, committing him to the team through 2026.
